Founder & lead developer. PhD in Engineering, 10+ years as a structural-analysis engineer and university lecturer — now building software end-to-end through a small web studio.

I spent more than ten years as a structural / strength-analysis engineer and taught engineering at university, earning a PhD (Candidate of Technical Sciences) along the way. That work is unforgiving: a missed assumption or an unchecked edge case has real consequences, so you learn to reason carefully before you commit.
For the last few years I've applied that same discipline to software. Smerdoff is a small, hands-on web studio — I'm directly involved in scoping, architecture and delivery of every project, from web and mobile apps to AI integrations and MVPs.
The goal is simple: build products that actually work, explain every decision in plain language, and publish real prices and timelines instead of hiding them behind a «contact us» wall.
A background in strength analysis means requirements, edge cases and trade-offs get thought through before code is written — the same discipline that keeps physical structures standing.
This is a small studio, not an agency layer. The founder is directly involved in scoping, architecture and delivery — no telephone game between you and the code.
Teaching habits carry over: you get plain explanations of what is being built, why, what it costs and how long it takes — published on every service page.
Tell me about your task — you'll get a straight answer on approach, price and timeline.
